Also known as "the valley of glaciers" Langtang valley is famous for its popular Langtang valley trekking. Located in north of Kathmandu valley, Langtang valley offers beautiful mountain scenery, pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow- capped peaks, grassy downs and meadows strewn with daisies and wild flowers. Langtang valley is the perfect choice for adventurers; the trials, the route and the climb, well it all ensures the adrenaline pump that these explorers seek. But, it is also absolutely suitable for nature lovers for it provides the forest, the flowers, the birds and everything else. The first National Park of Nepal – Langtang National Park, can be reached from Gosainkund Pass 4,610m or by Ganja La pass 5,122m. And it invites all the nature enthusiasts, even the animals are inviting. After Bill Tilman described it as the most beautiful valley in the world, Langtang valley rose to fame.
Langtang valley trekking begins with 7 -8 hour drive to Syabru Bensi from Kathmandu. Langtang valley trekking starts out through a dense forest of oak, birch and pine which finally opens out into alpine meadows and yak pastures. In the spring wild flowers and rare orchids are cover up these meadows. The wildlife is equally fascinating here, animals like red pandas, Himalayan black bear, wild boar and langur monkeys, welcome everyone with their wild cries. Beyond Langtang village the pretty summer settlement of Kyanjin with its small gompa and cheese factory is something worth remembering. The views from here spectacular and magical as everywhere around in the Himalaya, a 360 degree panorama of snow capped including the awesome Langtang Lirung, Pemthang Ri, Langshisha Ri, Dorje Lakpa, and Kangchenpo, Tilman’s fluted peak.
Here, we provide you with a small summary of the whole trekking experience. The first step we take is towards Sybru Bensi(1462m) after which we follow the trial to bambo. A walk from bambo brings us to Langtang valley (3520m),from where we trek to Kyanjin Gompa(3825m). We then spend some time on acclimization which will prepare us for the next hike to Kyanjin ri(4756m) and walk to Tserko Ri (4984m). We get to view the beautiful Himalayan vista which includes Langtang Lirung, Yala peak, Naya khanga, Ganesh Himal, Tibetian. After experiencing what Langtang has to offer, we return back to Sybru village and then back to dhunche.
This experience will give you something that you will never forget, the combination of fist pumping adventure and the soothing effect of the nature will come to life in front of your own eyes.
