Once a forbidden land, Tibet was mystical and isolated from the rest of the world. But nowadays travelling to Tibet has been as easy to travelling to any other parts of the world. Trekkers have to be prepared mentally and physically before taking on this plan as it is located at a high altitude with low levels of oxygen. This means that it is harder to breather normally, and combined the physical demands of the trek, strenuous activities like walking, hiking and climbing can become a challenge itself. The land is rugged and requires an effort while even walking. Altitude sickness is common in this area and coupled with the relative difficulty of getting rescue services, it may as well be the greatest risk you take. But the trip is nevertheless worth the risk.

But the rewards of the trip can be more than satisfying. Being a plateau, there are highways at high-altitudes through which one can visit the different civilizations this isolated world has to offer. The unique sights of monasteries and the cultural heritages there that reflect the Buddhist taste provides a well worth of the expenses. The lifestyle is still practiced in the ancient ways and one can get a chance to fell how it feels in the ancient china.

The trails open for trekking during May and ends in September. Also in the summer months, which is probably the best time to go there, trekking in Tibet can be more rewarding as it is the busiest times for the people there as well and not to mention it is warm in summer.
