Trip Overview

This package is specially designed for the more mature client or the young at heart. You’ve probably been hearing for years about the amazing and adventurous travels of your kids, how have finally moved out of home. It’s now your turn for adventure and the chance to see the world; the opportunity to see a different part of the world. Time to live while the years are still golden. You now have the time and opportunity so come along and experience the adventure of a lifetime. An adventure you could only ever imagine.

Your Young at Heart Adventures Tour will involve arriving a bucket list of items in Nepal and you get to go as fast or as steady as you wish. You will start in Kathmandu (Nepal’s capital and cultural hub) where you will learn about sharman men, see burning burial ceronomies, visit UNESCO heritage temples and the worlds latest Buddhist stupa. From here we then venture further afield to rural Nepal and to a village called Maidi in Dhading district of Nepal. This is the chance to see life not on a tourist trail. This village is the home village of Hike Himalaya Adventure founder, Prakash Ayral. You will be welcomed by the villagers and get to experience life in a rural Nepali village. Whilst here you have the opportunity to take part in teaching school lessons, painting, playing with local kids in the village school (primary and secondary).

The most important region we will go to this village is to distribute the scholorship by your own hands to the most underprivileged kids This is only the beginning.

We next head to the lowlands and visit the famous Chitwan National Park. From here you can stroll around the river and local villages or take part in a jungle safari tour and get up close and personal with the local animals. Hopefully we’ll get to see Rhino and other exotic animals.

Before we head to lakeside Pokhara we visit a refuge for women who have been trafficked and abused. This visit, obviously optional, will allow you to witness first hand the difficulties facing a developing country.

Once in Pokhara we will enjoy a few surprises (nup, no clues) before getting to see the mighty Himalaya up close! Yep, no trip is done without a chance to do so. We drive to a mountain-side village in the Annapurna region and get to see 8,000m peaks.; the giants of our earth. This night you will live like a local and experience life in a mountain village. This means over night in a famous Nepali teahouse.

Once we finish taking snaps of the grand panorama we fly back to Kathmandu and squeeze in a visit with dignitaries at the Australian embassy.

The tour is all but finished, you have the chance to stroll the streets and markets of Kathmandu and haggle for a few purchases for loved ones back home.

The final agenda item is then a farewell dinner, Nepali style. This is a thanks to you for coming on board with Hike Himalaya Adventure.
