Early next morning following a hearty breakfast, Hike Himalaya Adventures will host a pre-trip meeting at the hotel you’re staying. During this meeting, we introduce your trip guide, and we’ll be happy to answer any question you may have. We provide you with important information about the trip, so do feel free to take notes if you want to. Also, please kindly bring three passport-size photos, passport and travel insurance policy. Legal formalities, including liability waiver, will be taken care of in this meeting.
Once the meeting concludes, we begin our sightseeing of the valley for which a private vehicle along with a professional guide will be provided. The valley is dotted with fantastic cultural heritages, some of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites, which we’ll visit. These include Boudhanath Stupa (the largest Buddhist shrines in the world), Pashupatinath (the holiest Hindu temple in the world), Durbar Squares (Palaces and fortresses of medieval Kings), along with other popular cultural attractions. The lifestyle of the Nepalese people, holy sadhus and monks, the fascinating history and the awe-inspiring architecture will be the highlight of this day-long sightseeing trip.

Day 04- Drive to Pokhara (900m) on a tourist bus - 7 hrs
You will be ushered to the bus station by our staff for the bus to Pokhara. The ride will be pleasant and go through one of Nepal’s major highways. For much of the ride’s duration, you will see gorgeous hills and the gushing Trishuliriver. Once you reach Pokhara, you will be awestruck by the city’s natural beauty. The gorgeous Phewalake overlooking the Annapurna range, Macchpuchare “Fishtail” mountain more prominently, will take your breath away. Pokhara is the perfect place for relaxation and adventure activities as well.

Day 05 & 06- Guided sightseeing tour in and around Pokhara
This day will be spent exploring Pokhara and all the wonderful natural and cultural places of interest. These include Phewa Lake and Barahi Temple, Seti River gorges, Devi’s Fall, Gupteshwar Cave, Tibetan Refugee Camps and many other museums. The Peace Pagoda is also quite a spectacular hike with amazing view of Pokhara valley below and the Annapurnas in the distance. The natural beauty and the laid back environment, above all, are what distinguish Pokhara from the rest of the cities. A private vehicle will be provided for sightseeing today.

Day 07- Drive to Sarankot for sunrise and mountain views, then continue onto the Chitwan National Park
Very early this morning, we have a 45-minute drive to the hilltop called Sarankot which hosts arguably the best views of a sunrise in the country. It is a quite a breathtaking moment as the sun appears over the Annapurna giants like Dhaulagiri, Fishtail with Phewa Lake glistening below. After watching the sunrise, we head back to the hotel in Pokhara. From here we drive to Chitwan National Park. At the resort, the staff at the resort will brief you about participating in the various activities of the resort, including elephant safari, jungle walk and nature walk.

Day 08 - Activities in the Chitwan National Park
With a wakeup call along with tea and coffee, we have the great time to witness the wildlife at its best. This includes elephant safari, jungle walk, bird watching and so forth. We will then head to the grasslands and forests near the Narayani River. We’ll take a boat ride an observe crocodiles along the banks and in the later afternoon, we’ll have some more jungle activities. We will also go to the observation tower, then later in the evening head back to the resort for dinner.

Day 09 - More activities in Chitwan, and drive back to Kathmandu
We have some time for more jungle activities, exploration and relaxation. After a filling breakfast, we head back to Kathmandu.

Day 10 - Flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa (3,660m)
You will be transferred to the airport early in the morning for your one-hour flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa. The flight goes over the Himalayas which give you some stunning views of the mountains and rugged terrains below. We land in GongarAiport where you’re met by our Tibetan guide. We then drive to Lhasa on a two-hour drive on a private vehicle. We spend the day in Lhasa resting, exploring and acclimatizing.

Day 11 - Guided city tours in Lhasa
On this day, we spend our time exploring gorgeous monasteries in Lhasa. A guide and interpreter will be available with you for your disposal and showing you around. One of the best known and preserved monasteries called Sera Monastery will give you a feeling of rustic Tibetan lifestyle. With white walls and golden color roofs, the beautiful monastery is home to hundreds of monks. We then visit Norbulinka as well as Jokhang Temple, considered one of the most sacred shrines in Tibet. We may be able to see an elaborate procession of devout Tibetan in the monastery. We visit the markets in Lhasa which has a maze-like narrow alleys running through.

Day 12 - Guided City tour at the Potala Palace and the Drepung Monastery
In the morning, we head to Potala Palace which is undoubtedly the most popular attraction in Tibet. This ancient monastery houses the private residence of the Dalai Lama along with hundreds, if not thousands, of Tibetan monks. The quarter of the Potala Palace itself is jawdroppingly beautiful. Though the original palace was built in the 5th century, the one that stands today was constructed more than 400 years ago. After exploring this grand monument, we visit Drepung Monastery, another astonishing monastery founded in the 14th century, once the largest in the world with more than 10,000 accommodated. Nonetheless, today it has still several hundred monks. Unlike other ones, this monastery was untouched during the revolution. After sightseeing, we head back to our hotel and spend the evening exploring local places.

Day 13- Free day to explore at your leisure
You can spend this day exploring Lhasa further. Visit a monastery or spend a relaxing time at a restaurant in the market. Do some shopping and watch pilgrims worship. There are many things you can do here and today is the perfect day for that.
